Who We Are

Cannabis Build and Design, a division of Fager-McGee Commercial Construction and Premier Architecture, focuses on designing and constructing cannabis facilities around the country. Our team of trusted builders has been developing and building many types of structures, for instance,  commercial, industrial, retail, educational, institutional, and health care, since 1986. A few of our projects include Buffalo Wild Wings, Starbucks, Chevrolet Dealerships, and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital.

Our experience to date already speaks for itself. With the design and construction work happening with the same team, completion times for projects happen much faster. And because Fager-McGee has had over 25 years of zero lost time accidents in the field, we have the safety record to back up our work. In addition to having BROWZ Certification, we have also been recognized for the AGC (Associated General Contractors of America) Excellent Safety Record and the SIBA (Southern Illinois Builders Association) Excellence Safety Award.

Project Scope

When it comes to a project, we can build something from the ground up or renovate an existing location. Our team can work with your vision and create a unique facility. But it doesn’t stop at the design and construction. Fager-McGee also provides physical needs assessment before property acquisition, existing facility surveys to create as-built floor plans, and zoning (Special Use Permits [SUP], Conditional Use Permits [CUP], Special Use Exception [SUE], etc.). Our team also works with the owner to navigate building permits and certificates of occupancy (C/O).

Our cannabis projects have been far-reaching around the United States. We have our contractors’ licenses in all states as required, and we’ve completed work in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Utah.
